Pair of officer's flintlock pistols, by PREVOTEAU LE JEUNE. Flintlock barrels, slightly blunderbussed at the muzzle, decorated with gold fillet at the muzzle and trophies at the thunders, stamped "HR" under crown. Engraved breech tails. Lock plates signed "PREVOTEAU Jne A PRIS" and engraved flat-body hammers. Bassinets pare étincelle. Cut, chased and engraved iron fittings. Crosses in squared walnut. Wooden sticks with horn tips. Presented in a later book case. A.B.E. (Minor wear and pitting). About 1810-1820. Prevoteau le Jeune, active after Prevoteau l'ainé, rue du Bouloy, around 1820. Expert : Cabinet Jean-Claude DEY
